Job summary

The Themesoft Inc team seeks a Lead Data Governance & Catalog Engineer to drive enterprise data governance initiatives using Ataccama. You will design, implement, and maintain data catalogs, glossaries, and lineage across Snowflake, Databricks, ERP and CRM systems.

You will partner with compliance, security and technology teams to ensure trusted data assets, establish policies, and lead governance workshops and dashboards for stakeholders. 100% remote work option available in the United States.

Job Title: The Lead Data Governance & Catalog Engineer.

About the job you’re considering:

The Lead Data Governance & Catalog Engineer is responsible for implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, and stewardship capabilities utilizing Ataccama Data Governance and Data Catalog solutions. The role partners with business, compliance, security, and technology teams to establish trusted and governed enterprise data assets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead implementation of Ataccama Data Governance, Data Catalog, Data Quality, and Metadata Management solutions.
• Design and maintain enterprise data catalogs, business glossaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage models.
• Establish data governance policies, standards, controls, and stewardship processes.
• Configure data ownership, stewardship workflows, issue management, and governance reporting.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, privacy, and security teams to support regulatory requirements.
• Define and implement data quality monitoring, scorecards, and KPI frameworks.
• Integrate metadata across data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, ERP, CRM, and analytical systems.
• Support data discovery, impact analysis, lineage tracing, and catalog adoption initiatives.
• Lead governance workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions.
• Develop governance dashboards, metrics, and operational reporting.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Ataccama Data Governance and Data Catalog solutions.
• Expertise in metadata management, data lineage, business glossary, and stewardship processes.
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance frameworks.
• Knowledge of data quality management and governance operating models.
• Experience integrating governance tools with cloud and enterprise ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise data governance and data modernization programs.
