Job summary

Visiting Angels of Hurst is seeking compassionate At Home Caregivers to support clients across the HEB area, including Hurst, Bedford, Euless, and surrounding neighborhoods. You'll assist with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, and companionship, following personalized care plans and reporting health changes as needed.

This position offers flexible schedules (day, evening, weekends), competitive pay ($16-$19/hour), and benefits such as healthcare after 90 days for full-time

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Provide light exercise or mobility support and accompany clients during trips.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients and assist with housekeeping.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
• Provide companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with medications reminders and appointments.

As a Visiting Angels At Home Caregiver, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

• Helping clients with personal care and hygiene
• Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
• Planning and preparing meals with clients
• Handling light housekeeping duties
• Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
• Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
• Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
• Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
• Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

Visiting Angels offers opportunities for advanced training in areas like dementia care and/or Alzheimer’s care for caregivers seeking to broaden their skills.

At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation and current driver’s license to get to and from client homes at the times you are scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to tasks like carrying groceries and transferring a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary requirements
• Be willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client
