Job summary

Visiting Angels Richardson TX is seeking an At Home Caregiver to support clients across North Texas, including Richardson, Carrollton, Dallas and surrounding areas. You will provide compassionate in-home care with flexible day and weekend shifts, and opportunities for training and career growth.

Responsibilities include assisting with mobility, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and companionship, while maintaining safety and high-quality care per each client’s plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and reliable vehicle.
• Minimum 2 years professional caregiving experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and emergency response training required (provided if needed).

• Assist clients with light exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
• Assist with mobility at home and during appointments/errands.

At Home Caregiver Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients
• Minimum 2 Years Professional Caregiving Experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Training in First Aid and emergency response is required (provided if needed)
• Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client
• Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
• Bring compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten the day of each client to the table
