Job description

ASU Psychiatric LPN (Per Diem)

Providence, RI

Per Diem LPN needed for our 16-bed Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence, RI.

The ASU delivers trauma-informed, client-centered, quality care to adults in mental health crises. No restraints are utilized, as our facility is voluntary.

The unit's nurses are responsible for the following:


  • Assessing, monitoring, and documenting the psychiatric and medical needs of clients, and consulting with providers as needed

  • Reviewing referrals

  • Conducting assessments

  • Reconciling and ordering medications

  • Administering medications

  • Providing crisis intervention, milieu management, and health education as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team

ASU nursing requires a high degree of client interaction and working as a team. People skills and good bedside manner are a must!

Education/Licensing Requirements:

Seeking an LPN, RN, BSN, or ADN. RI LPN or RN licensure required. Bilingual skills compensated.
