Job description

Responsible for Maintaining and Improving Plant performance.

This position is typically non-shift, though some situations may require work outside normal hours. The Production Technician will perform mechanical, instrument, and electrical maintenance. See skill set listed below:

Essential Functions
  1. Manipulate air separation controls to meet product specifications and production requirements.
  2. Adjust plant control variables, monitor, and manage process equipment parameters to meet production goals.
  3. Develop knowledge of air separation theory and related equipment; understand water chemistry for cooling tower operations.
  4. Develop troubleshooting skills, evaluate process upsets, and take corrective actions.
  5. Maintain Qualified Electrical Worker certification.
  6. Perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other equipment.
  7. Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals, including Process & Instrument Drawings.
  8. Participate in updating work instructions for start-up and operational procedures.
  9. Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, evaluate equipment performance, and perform routine calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment.
  10. Prioritize safety in all activities.
  11. Maintain records to meet FDA, DPA, OSHA, ISO, and other standards.
  12. Assist in updating plant and equipment work instructions.
  13. Prepare QA documents, transcribe data, and generate reports.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and other departments.
  15. Review and release medical-grade products per FDA regulations.
  16. Troubleshoot operational issues and alarms, either directly or with the team.
  17. Assist with plant start-up/shutdown procedures.
  18. Optimize plant performance through data tracking and implementing best practices.
  19. Implement productivity ideas to reduce costs.
  20. Collaborate with supporting groups for performance and troubleshooting.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to policies and standards.
Qualifications

Education: Associate's Degree, High School diploma, Technical School, or related industrial experience.

Work Experience: 1-3 years in compressors, pumps, valves, expanders, and electrical testing equipment preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Basic computer skills, on-call availability, strong understanding of safety, air separation principles, equipment, electrical systems, troubleshooting skills, and analytical principles.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions

Frequent standing, movement, pushing, pulling, ascending/descending, and work in various positions. Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.), reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, and repetitive motions. Communication and coordination are frequent.

Travel Requirements

10% travel for scheduled training.
