Behavioral Health Worker 1st & 2nd Shift (Full-time, 36 hours/week)

Our Acute Stabilization Unit (ASU) in Providence is looking for a 1st and 2nd shift Part-time (32 hours per week) Behavioral Health Worker (BHW). Our innovative, holistic, trauma-informed inpatient program for substance use and mental health disorders, located in the heart of Providence, is the first of its kind.

The BHW is a dynamic, fast-paced, and team-oriented role. This is a front‑line position with a high degree of client interaction, from admissions to safety checks to recreational and therapeutic activities.

An ideal candidate:

• Is detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
• Maintains appropriate professional boundaries.
• Possesses excellent communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with and receives supervision and training from nurses, counselors, case managers, and prescribers.
• Ensures client safety and satisfaction.
• Promotes client recovery, understands the impact of trauma, prioritizes client safety, and responds to client emergencies or crises with support.

Education/Licensing Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required. CNA, associate degree in a human services‑related field, or attending school for same preferred; can substitute with 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting.
