Responsibilities

ASU Assistant Plant Manager - Gaston, SC

JOB TITLE – ASU Assistant Plant Manager - Salary Range $95,000 to $110,000 per year

Essential Functions

• On-Call duties to cover for vacation, illness and otherabsences.
• Strong safetyleadership driving a culture of proactive hazard identification, persistentrisk assessment, interdependent behavior, and effective corrective action.
• Maintainingclean, organized, and efficient work areas.
• Dailyproduction planning, logistics coordination, 24/7 ROC coordination, and plantoperational efficiency.
• Dailyresource scheduling, training, performance management, payroll and otherhuman relations related activities to include contractors and ROC personnel.
• DailyMPDE production data, work orders, PO’s, purchasing, and other maintenance /projects within ASU’s maintenance system (MAPS).
• Calibrationand maintenance of process and product analyzers and records.
• Assistingwith startups and shutdowns of the ASU in a safe and efficient manner asdictated by operating conditions and business needs.
• Predictiveindicator programs to identify equipment problems and/or improvementopportunities and take preventive actions to resolve.
• Local work instructions, engineering documentation, andOEM documentation to assure they are complete, accurate and current.
• Compliance withinternal Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality programs, and applicableexternal regulatory codes and standards from organizations such as OSHA, FDA,ISO, EPA, DHS, DOL, etc.
• BusinessContinuity, Emergency Response and Loss Prevention programs.
• Performance andcontinuous improvement in safety, human resource, supply chain reliability,product quality control, corporate compliance, regulatory compliance, andproduction efficiency cost.
• LocalQuality Management System and Management Reviews.
• Incident root cause investigations, Audits, andcompletion of their associated corrective and preventive actions in aneffective and timely manner.
• Smallimprovement projects (SIP) and The Right Way (TRW) optimization projects.
• Otherresponsibilities and departmental projects as assigned.
• Mayinclude other responsibilities as assigned.

Education

Physical Demands

While performing dutiesof this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit, reach withhands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, bend and twist, talk andhear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, equipment, tools or controls. Occasionallyliftand/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilitiesrequired include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and theability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions

This is a full-timeposition with a flexible work schedule. Typical hours will vary to meet thesupply chain needs for this 24/7 production operation; however, normal staffinghours are expected to be from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.Additional work hours may include nights, weekends and/or holidays with on-callresponsibilities. This role will be performed in office environments as wellas in industrial field environments. While performing duties of this job itwould occasionally be required to:

• Beexposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme cold (e.g. operating plant).
• Beexposedto outside weather conditions (e.g. cold box valves, filling trailers).
• Beexposed to high, precarious places (e.g. cold box, repair work)
• Beexposed to high noise levels (e.g. Plant rounds, maintenance)

May also be required towork from a home location, which must be conducive to performing the role andduties, including virtual/video meetings.
