DataAnnotation is seeking a Physicist to design problems that reveal gaps in physical reasoning and to review AI-generated solutions for dimensional errors and missing steps. You will craft clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate correct physics and reasoning.
Ideal candidates have graduate-level physics background, strong written English, and experience working on challenging problems across multiple physics domains. Remote, project-based collaboration is supported.
Models can recite physics and still get it wrong: dimensional errors, misapplied approximations, and derivations that skip the step where the physics actually happens.
As a Physicist you'll evaluate AI reasoning across mechanics, E&M, quantum, and thermodynamics, and write solutions with the care of a good problem-set grader.
Common backgrounds: Physicist, Research Scientist.
Up to $40 – $125+/hr depending on task difficulty and specialization. Many contributors add $10k–$100k+ a year; some make it their full-time income.
DataAnnotation is where 100k+ experts train the world’s leading AI models. $150M+ paid to contributors to date, and the average contributor stays 5+ years. Flexible, remote, and always project-available.
