Job summary

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Astronomy or Physics from a regionally accredited institution.
• Three years teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with alternative delivery instructional modes (hybrid, online) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Planning and teaching classes as assigned and outlined in course descriptions and syllabi.
• Maintaining academic standards and classroom behavior to ensure a conducive learning environment and timely communication with students.
• Evaluating students using a variety of methods and reporting scores promptly.
• Using Cleveland State email for administrative purposes and responding to student inquiries.
• Meeting deadlines for administrative tasks and final grades.
• Submitting equipment, supplies, textbooks, and instructional aids requests through the department chair or lead teacher.
