• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Applied Physics, Electrical or Computer Engineering; Masters/PhD preferred.
• 3–5 years of hardware instrument engineering experience.

Responsabilidades

• Applies technical knowledge to instrument-related domains and learns new skills as needed.
• Analyzes requirements and develops precision instruments with minimal guidance.
• Designs experiments and hardware to prove design concepts viable and optimal.
• Collaborates with engineers to design, develop prototype and production hardware.
• Integrates instruments into larger systems to meet performance metrics.
• Develops processes for fabrication of custom instruments.
• Drafts and presents technical documents and testing results for management approval.
• Provides training related to devices to employees, sub-contractors and customers.
• Performs independent research and seeks assistance when needed.
