Role Purpose

After a big meeting far away from home, or a long wait for a delayed flight, is there anyone more welcoming than a smiling bartender? As the friendly face of our hotel bars, you’ll also be a helpful host, a local expert, and a proud brand ambassador. Whether you’re preparing drinks exactly as our guests want or serving them delicious food, you’ll be devoted to creating relaxing, memorable experiences.

Key Accountabilities

1. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for every guest and setting the tone for their experience.
2. Preparing and serving drinks to high standards, and highlighting promotions to guests.
3. Collaborating with restaurant colleagues to ensure seamless food and beverage service.
4. Setting up your bar — stocking supplies, managing inventory, and ensuring all equipment functions properly.
5. Changing beer barrels as needed.
6. Maintaining a clean and tidy bar area, ensuring alcohol is always secure.
7. Handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
8. Wearing your uniform proudly and maintaining a professional appearance.
9. Assisting with ad-hoc duties as required by colleagues.
10. Following all safety procedures diligently.

Key Skills & Experiences

1. Physical fitness — standing, bending, and kneeling most of the day.
2. Strength — ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
3. Literacy — good reading, writing, and basic math skills.
4. Flexibility — availability for night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
5. Experience — knowledge of preparing a wide range of drinks, with formal bartending training preferred.
6. Compliance — adherence to local laws regarding food handling and alcohol service, being of legal age, and fluency in the local language.
7. Communication — warm, welcoming, and approachable manner.
