Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated Laboratory Research Technician to support longitudinal asthma-related studies. You will work with the Principal Investigator and Lab Manager to execute non-routine experiments, analyze data, and contribute to manuscript preparation in the Asthma Research Center.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1–2 years of lab experience, with strong statistical skills including Excel and programming in R, Python, SAS, or SPSS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 1–2 years of previous research lab experience.
• Proficiency with MS Excel and statistical programming languages (R, Python, SAS, SPSS).

Responsibilities

• Participates in development and planning for procedures in research studies evaluating respiratory treatments and medications.
• Performs routine tests following established methodologies (lipids TLC/Gc/HPLC, ELISA, evaporation procedures).
• Conducts advanced data analysis using statistical techniques.
• Oversees and coordinates all lab activities, including quality assurance.
• Troubleshoots problems and teaches others in specialized techniques.
• Maintains equipment and inventory per departmental procedures.
• Meets with supervisor to discuss progress and reviews protocols and certifications.
• Prepares and presents data reports; proficient with MS Excel and statistical software.
