Position Title

Assistant/Associate/Full Professor, Health Programs - Fixed Term

Position Summary

Michigan State University, Department of Family Medicine, is seeking applications for a faculty position in the Health Programs Faculty Appointment System. This role uniquely combines clinical practice in geriatrics with teaching and/or research responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or have recently completed an accredited residency in either specialty. Fellowship training in geriatrics or substantial experience in the care of older adults across the continuum of care is required. Candidates should have a strong interest in medical education, primary care, educational research, and community engagement and outreach.

Department Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive geriatric care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, assisted living, and skilled nursing facilities throughout the Greater Lansing area.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows during their clinical rotations.

  • MD/DO or equivalent degree.
  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, or recent completion of an accredited residency.
  • Fellowship training in Geriatrics or significant experience caring for older adults along the continuum of care.
