Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking an Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Technician to support USCENTCOM J6 at MacDill AFB in Florida. The role centers on implementing ACAS for network monitoring, security compliance, and automating related business processes.

You will configure scans, validate outcomes, automate reporting, and collaborate with system administrators to maintain high credentialed access while aligning with DISA best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information systems or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant IT/cybersecurity experience.
• Active TS-SCI clearance required for access to J6 at USCENTCOM.
• Security+ certification required; CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure discovery, vulnerability, and compliance scans in ACAS.
• Validate scan execution and automate reporting.
• Review scan results and automate asset inventory reporting.
• Troubleshoot ACAS components and plugin updates.

Job description

GDIT is looking for qualified Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Technician candidates to fill a role in support of USCENTCOM J6 at MacDill AFB FL. This position involves implementing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) for network monitoring and security compliance to detect and prevent anomalous activities. The role also focuses on automating and improving business processes related to ACAS.

How an ACAS Technician will Make an Impact:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Configuration of discovery, vulnerability, and compliance scans
• Validation of correct scan execution and automated reporting
• Review of discovery scan results to identify systems not being vulnerability scanned and automated reporting
• Review of vulnerability scan results to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve credential and other common scan issues, and automated reporting
• Review and compile scan results to support asset inventory requirements and automation
• Work closely with system administrators to maintain a minimum 98% credentialed access to all systems
• Assessment of scan results to identify areas where vulnerability remediation has the greatest impact on risk and automated reporting
• Configuration of ACAS components to align with DISA best practice guidance
• Troubleshooting and resolution of communications issues between ACAS software components, failed plugin updates, and other common software issues
• Automated reporting to external organizations via built-in publishing feature
• Maintain automated ACAS reporting to CMRS
• Conduct new hardware and software audits to confirm cyber hygiene of new systems before they are deployed to production
• Provide ACAS scanning support for Risk Management Framework authorizations
• Brief leadership weekly on vulnerability finding results across the enterprise

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

Required Education:Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or another related field. Experience can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Clearance: TS-SCI

Certifications: Security+ Certification is required; CISSP preferred

Citizenship Required: US Citizenship
