Job summary

Odyssey Consulting is seeking an ACAS Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Air Operation Center (AOC) cybersecurity team at Hanscom AFB. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and operating the ACAS toolset, including Nessus scanning and compliance reporting.

The onsite role at Hanscom AFB in Bedford, MA requires US citizenship, a Secret clearance, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 5–7 years of cybersecurity experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Level Clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• IAM Level III Certification (CISSP/CISO).
• Basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of ACAS components.
• Assist with scheduling and executing vulnerability scans using Nessus.
• Analyze scan results to identify vulnerabilities and misconfigurations.
• Assist with compliance assessments against DoD standards and internal security policies.
• Generate reports covering vulnerability status, compliance posture, and remediation progress.
• Collaborate with system administrators to support remediation.
• Assist with system administration tasks for ACAS servers and databases.
• Stay current on evolving vulnerability trends and threats.

The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and operating the ACAS toolset, including Nessus scanning and compliance assessment and reporting activities.

Salary

USD 150,000 - 175,000 per year

Role Focus

Support the AOC cybersecurity mission by administering the ACAS environment, assisting with vulnerability scanning workflows, and helping produce compliance and vulnerability reporting aligned to applicable standards and internal security policies.

Required Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field

• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems

Compensation Note: Final compensation will be determined based on Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
