Job summary

Wiss is seeking an Assurance Entry Level Associate to join our Assurance Department in a growth-oriented environment. You will work with clients to ensure accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the Practice Area Manager and Leader.

This role focuses on reviewing financial statements, applying accounting principles, and preparing clear documentation for internal and client reviews while supporting firm initiatives and client development in a collaborative, small-team

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or another business-related field.
• Internship experience in public accounting preferred.
• General understanding of Microsoft Office; QuickBooks knowledge a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong communication, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare documentation for internal and client review that's clear and concise.
• Acquire client knowledge, identify risks, and tailor audit approaches.
• Conduct client audits, compilations, and reviews per firm standards.
• Interact with clients and staff to gather information and resolve issues.
