Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assurance Staff in Buffalo, NY, focusing on audit, review, and compilation services with a CPA track opportunity. The role supports engagement teams and client service across multiple industries.

You will assist with planning, fieldwork, and documentation, staying current on accounting and auditing standards while traveling to clients in Western New York as needed. CPA track offers growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA preferred.
• 0–3 years of public accounting/audit experience.
• Experience with audits, reviews, and compilations preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients.
• Ensure audit engagements comply with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare detailed audit workpapers and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial information and support audit findings.
• Collaborate with tax and advisory professionals to deliver client solutions.
• Travel to client locations throughout Western New York as necessary.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist with financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations for a variety of clients.

• Participate in audit planning and engagement execution.
• Stay current on accounting standards, auditing standards, and industry developments.
• Assist in identifying audit issues and documenting findings.
• Travel to client locations throughout Western New York as necessary.
• Participate in training programs and professional development initiatives.
• Pursue CPA certification and continued technical growth.
• Support engagement teams in delivering exceptional client service.

Qualifications Needed

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
• CPA certification or active pursuit of CPA preferred
• Approximately 0-3 years of public accounting, audit, or accounting experience
• Experience or internship exposure to financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing concepts
• Experience utilizing accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate documentation
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Ability and willingness to travel to client locations throughout Western New York
• Strong commitment to teamwork, professional growth, and client service excellence
