Job summary

CohnReznick seeks an Assurance Senior Associate to join the Community Development team in the Baltimore office. You will lead audit engagements, mentor staff, and deliver exceptional client service while contributing to firm growth.

The role supports professionals in a hybrid work model with in-person collaboration about 3 days per week. Requirements include CPA or eligibility and 3+ years of assurance experience; real estate/CDFI/NMTC exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of assurance experience, with Community Development Financial Institutions or NMTCs is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills; ability to lead engagements and develop others.

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Senior Associate to join the Community Development team in our Baltimore office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.

YOUR ROLE.

Join CohnReznick’s Community Development Audit Practice as a Senior Associate. You’ll lead audit engagements, mentor junior staff, and deliver exceptional client service while contributing to firm growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Manage multiple audit projects and monitor success metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, leadership, and global team members.
  • Ensure compliance with firm standards and promote security awareness.
  • Apply advanced technical knowledge and stay current with industry trends.
  • Deliver high-quality work and oversee risk management.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their development.
  • Identify business opportunities and support cross-selling efforts.
  • Model world-class client service and executive presence.
  • Engage in firm initiatives and promote a culture of inclusion and agility.
  • Apply advanced Excel proficiency to enhance accuracy and efficiency
YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • CPA or CPA eligibility.
  • 3+ years of assurance experience, experience with Community Development Financial Institutions (“CDFIs”), New Markets Tax Credits (“NMTCs”) or real estate is a plus.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead engagements and develop others.
  • Knowledgeofaudit software CCH Engagement or Inflo is a plus but not required.

In Maryland, the salary range for an Assurance Senior Associate is $80,000 to $120,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus, generous paid time off, expanded and inclusive parental benefits, to name a few.
