Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting is required.
  • 5-8 years of assurance experience with non-profits in a CPA firm, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated passion for the work and willingness to learn and grow.
  • Membership in AICPA and NCACPA as applicable.
  • Proficiency with computers, accounting software programs, and assurance software.
  • Completion of career development CPE requirements to enhance management and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with others.
  • Valid driver’s license and good MVR

Responsibilities

  • Account for and audit non-profit engagements with accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with team to develop and implement innovative solutions.
  • Review engagements before partner review to ensure information quality.
  • Identify and account for technical issues on engagements.
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform decisions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage projects from start to finish ensuring timely, high-quality results.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Prepare client billing promptly for review by Practice Area Leader.
  • Schedule and manage firm professionals to promote efficient operation.
  • Meet with prospective clients and assist in proposal preparation.
  • Identify opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
  • Support staff, seniors and supervisors with feedback and coaching.
  • Travel as needed.

Requirements
We are looking for candidates who have:
  • CPA certification
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in accounting
  • 5-8 years assurance experience with non-profits in a CPA firm, with min. of 1-2 years’ experience as a Supervisor
  • Passionate about their work and eager to learn and grow
  • Membership in AICPA and NCACPA, as applicable
  • Proficiency in use of computers, accounting software programs and assurance software programs
  • Completion of career development CPE requirements designed to enhance management and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creative and innovative, with a strong desire to make a positive impact
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Able to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
  • Valid driver’s license and good MVR
Essential Physical Requirements:
  • Fine hand manipulation in keyboarding 5-7 hours per day
  • Fine hand manipulation using calculator/adding machine 2-4 hours per day
