Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds expectations, including coordinating audits of financial statements, disclosures, and other deliverables.
  • Assess risk, design, and communicate audit procedures to engagement teams.
  • Understand and utilize RSM’s Audit Methodology.
  • Manage multiple engagement teams and evaluate staff performance.
  • Supervise Audit Seniors and Supervisors, facilitate fieldwork, and monitor productivity and schedules.
  • Maintain client contact throughout the year to understand significant developments and their impact on audits.
  • Develop others through training, advising on career development, and participating in firm initiatives.
  • Stay informed on industry publications and share relevant information with clients.
  • Address client concerns proactively and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Understand RSM’s services and identify opportunities for client referrals.
  • Develop strategies to utilize external relationships for business growth.
  • Manage project profitability and communicate accounting and auditing matters to leadership.
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and ensure ongoing professional development.
  • Stay updated on GAAP, GAAS, FASB, and IFRS standards.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the year, depending on client needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • CPA or CA Certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting.
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring staff.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, FASB, or IFRS regulations.
  • Proven track record in building profitable client relationships.
  • At least 4 years of team leadership experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful record of managing staff on multiple engagements simultaneously.
