Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking an Assurance Manager to join the Financial Sponsors & Financial Services team in the Boston office, focusing on private equity, hedge funds, and other investment funds. The role emphasizes technical leadership and client service across audit, tax, and value creation.

You will lead engagement planning, manage execution and billing, and build strong client relationships while collaborating with a broader team to deliver timely, high‑quality results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm.
• Bachelor's Degree and active CPA required.
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX.
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Engagement Manager on specific client accounts, taking responsibility for pre-engagement planning, execution, final deliverable development, and billing and collections.
• Develop a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules.
• Monitor project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to CohnReznick management.
• Develop a professional relationship with the client.
• Serve as the prime point-of-contact to the client.
• Ensure that the client is fully informed of engagement progress and logistics.
• Gain the respect and confidence of the CohnReznick team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise team direction.
• Prepare timely and accurate bills for professional services rendered.
