Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking an Assurance Manager for its Sacramento office. This hybrid role supports the Affordable Housing Group and offers meaningful client work across real estate advisory, audits, and assurance engagements.

The successful candidate will bring 5+ years in public accounting, CPA licensure, and deep knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards. Expect leadership responsibilities, mentoring staff, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting.
• CPA licensure required.
• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB standards.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and audit software like CaseWare or ProSystem FX.

Responsibilities

• Drive client engagements.
• Review and prepare financial statements, footnotes, workpapers, management letters, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements.
• Demonstrate professional creativity in dealing with client matters and make constructive suggestions to improve client operations.
• Effectively analyze client transactions, recognizing and resolving potential or existing problems with appropriate research and consulting.
• Oversee, mentor, and develop staff.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Drive client engagements

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

• 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
• Technology experience preferred
• Exceptional analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP, GAAS, and PCAOB rules and standards
• Bachelor's or Masters Degree in accounting required
• CPA licensure required
• Exceptional client service and communication skills
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written interpersonal, and presentation skills
• Demonstrates an Entrepreneurial spirit
• Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of audit software such as CaseWare or ProSystem FX preferred
• Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

In California, the salary range for Assurance Managers is $95,000 - $160,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies. Salary is one component of the CohnReznick total rewards package, which includes a discretionary performance bonus; generous paid time off; expanded and inclusive parental benefits, and access to best-in-class learning and development platforms, to name a few.
