Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Assurance Manager in Long Beach, CA to oversee audit engagements from planning through wrap‑up, supervising teams and ensuring quality under tight deadlines.

You will apply GAAP/GAAS expertise, manage SOX 404 and public company audits, mentor staff, and contribute to business development. CPA required; hybrid schedule; above‑market compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• Six or more years of audit or public accounting experience.
• Active CPA license required.
• Strong GAAP/GAAS knowledge and SEC reporting.
• Proven supervisory, client-management, and business-development experience.

Responsibilities

Assurance Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee audit engagements from planning through wrap‑up, supervising audit teams, reviewing workpapers, and ensuring quality and efficiency under tight deadlines.
• Apply technical expertise in GAAP and GAAS to resolve complex accounting issues, draft financial statements and footnote disclosures, and write technical consultation memos.
• Advise clients on economic and regulatory risks, new accounting pronouncements, and internal control improvements.
• Manage SOX 404 and financial statement audits for public clients, ensuring compliance with PCAOB standards and overseeing proper audit methodology.
• Support business development, client retention, and engagement profitability, including billings and collections.
• Lead and develop staff through delegation, on‑the‑job training, performance feedback, and career advising.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field; Master’s in Accountancy preferred.
• Six or more years of audit or public accounting experience.
• Active CPA license required.
