Job summary

Windham Brannon in Atlanta or Chattanooga seeks an Assurance Manager to lead audit engagements, oversee risk assessment, and ensure GAAP-compliant financial statements.

You will mentor staff, review workpapers, and maintain quality control while serving clients across industries such as manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, and professional services. CPA license and 5+ years of public accounting are required.

Assurance Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA or Chattanooga, TN. Full‑time, partially remote.

What You Will Do
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients and firm associates.
  • Lead and provide oversight for the planning and risk assessment, design and execution of audit procedures, and issuance of financial statements that are in compliance with GAAP.
  • Effectively delegate responsibility by providing clear expectations and instructions, along with appropriate training and monitoring.
  • Timely review workpapers, providing appropriate on‑the‑job training and coaching.
  • Deliver strong quality control by ensuring compliance with internal audit methodologies and external requirements.
  • Coach and develop associates and seniors.
  • Participate in training and developmental opportunities.
What You Bring
  • Required: CPA license.
  • Required: 5+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial statement disclosures, and generally accepted auditing standards.
  • Experience working with clients in a variety of industries including but not limited to manufacturing, construction, hospitality, professional services, NFP, real estate, and employee benefit plans.
  • Prior experience managing audit engagements.
  • Strong analytical, technical research, and project‑management skills.
  • Strong character traits of integrity, objectivity and a high standard of ethics.
