Job summary

BPM is seeking an Assurance Intern to support our audit team across multiple industries, with training from our Learning & Development team and coaches to guide you through analyzing financial statements and disclosures.

You will participate in audit procedures, test internal controls, and collaborate with colleagues on a capstone project, starting January and based in California offices (SF, SJ, Santa Rosa, Long Beach, Sacramento).

Qualifications

• GPA of at least 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program).
• Interest in pursuing CPA licensure or educational requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Able to start in January and work in California offices.

Responsibilities

• Receive Assurance training from Learning & Development and Assurance leaders.
• Learn and perform audit procedures to assess accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
• Assist in evaluating and testing internal controls implemented by clients.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics (BS/BA/MSA/MST/Certificate Program) and graduating between 09/2027 – 12/2029

• You will learn and perform audit procedures to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements. This involves examining financial records, transactions, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations.
• You will assist in evaluating and testing the effectiveness of internal control systems implemented by clients, working hand in hand with team members to deliver a quality product within the client’s time-frame.
• You will engage in regional intern events, executive speaker sessions with firm partners, and collaborate with fellow interns on a project to showcase acquired knowledge and skills.
