Job summary

CohnReznick is seeking an Audit Director for our Los Angeles office to lead engagements, grow the practice, and mentor staff. The role requires strong leadership, client service excellence, and deep technical auditing expertise.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in public accounting with US GAAP/GAS knowledge and experience directing multiple engagements, including budgets and timelines, while delivering top-tier client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA is required.
• Minimum 10+ years audit and accounting experience in public accounting including at least 1 year as an audit manager.
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills with knowledge of US GAAP, GAGAS and GAAS.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong research skills.
• Proven technical skills with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); Caseware or CCH experience is a plus.
• Solid organizational skills with ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical consultation to M&D clients and serve as the engagement leader.
• Grow the practice through business development activities.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Lead engagements including audits, reviews, compilations, agreed-upon procedures, and other attestation engagements.
• Direct multiple engagements with budget and time constraints while delivering high client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

As an audit director, your primary responsibilities include providing technical consultation to our M&D clients, serving as the engagement leader, growing our practice through business development activities and developing and mentoring staff.

Our professionals work on a variety of engagements including, but not limited to the following:

• Audits
• Reviews
• Compilations
• Agreed-upon procedures
• Other attestation engagements

The ideal candidate will possess expertise and experience within the manufacturing and distribution industries, and have experience working with SEC public filings. In addition, the candidate must have proven experience directing and driving the success of multiple engagements, managing budgetary and time constraints, and delivering a high-level of client satisfaction.

Required Skills

• Education: BS/BA accounting; CPA required
• Minimum 10+ years audit & accounting experience in a public accounting arena including at least 1 year as an audit manager
• Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including knowledge in US GAAP, GAGAS and GAAS.

In California, the salary range for Assurance Directors is $200,000 - $300,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
