Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks an Assurance Associate to prepare financial statements with disclosures and to apply GAAP and GAAS principles. You will document, validate, and test internal controls while supporting reviews and agreed-upon procedures engagements.

Occasional travel is required to meet firm and client needs. You will engage in researching accounting topics, drafting financial statements, and communicating findings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required OR Bachelor's degree in other focus area and CPA certification, required
• Master's in Accountancy, preferred
• Leadership experience, preferred
• Accounting based internship, preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements with disclosures and document testing and assessment of internal control systems
• Assist in reviews and agreed-upon procedure engagements
• Travel as needed to meet firm and client needs
• Apply knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, and BDO methodologies to engagements
• Document, validate, and communicate findings and conclusions
