Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assurance Advisor for FAAS – Commodities Markets in Houston. This role focuses on audit and advisory services for clients with commodity operations, including hedging and risk management.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, design controls, and build detailed implementation blueprints to enhance client capabilities. Responsibilities include gathering data, analyzing issues, and fostering long‑term client relationships while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field plus 5 years of progressive post‑baccalaureate work experience with commodities markets; or a master’s degree and 4 years of experience.
• 3 years of experience with various commodity transaction types (physical and financial) across multiple markets, including hedging strategies and business objectives.
• 3 years of experience analyzing commodity risks and/or hedging strategies, including control and process design, redesign, and mitigation activities.
• 3 years of experience with current regulatory landscape impacting commodity markets (e.g., Dodd‑Frank, FERC) and markets such as power, gas, crude, metals, refined products.
• 3 years of experience leading cross‑functional discussions with client business units to determine and document functional requirements for trading application upgrades or implementations.
• 3 years of experience in at least one of the following: commodity trading audits; advisory services on financial risk management; advisory services on commodity trading/hedging operations.
• Must obtain CA, CCEP, CIA, CPA, CQF, GARP – FRM, PMP, or SCR certification within one year of hire.
• Domestic travel up to 50%.
