Responsibilities

Summary: This role involves supervising transportation operations and personnel, ensuring proper scheduling, vehicle readiness, and compliance. May perform Transportation Officer duties when needed, and supervise in the absence of supervisors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in training Transportation Officers on policies and procedures.
  • Schedule work assignments and monitor operations to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and compliance with standards.
  • Respond to accidents, transport detainees during emergencies, and manage schedules.
  • Ensure weapons qualifications and proper documentation are maintained.
  • Maintain DOT files, attend regulatory training, and liaise with transportation authorities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including acting as supervisor in their absence.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Transportation Officer qualifications
  • One year of transportation experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Leadership, training, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computers and related software
