Job Summary

The Assistant General Restaurant Manager works under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager. The ARGM is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day activities and operations of the restaurant, assisting in ensuring the successful implementation of Church's initiatives and programs, helping to achieve or exceed all financial sales and profitability plans, as well as handling banking and administrative responsibilities.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
  1. Assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in training all employees.
  2. Help maintain appropriate staffing levels and prepare weekly schedules.
  3. Support staff during high volume periods as needed.
  4. Administer all paperwork in a timely manner.
  5. Analyze profit and loss statements and assist in meeting sales targets.
  6. Maintain accurate inventory records.
  7. Enforce and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  8. Ensure compliance with all operational standards and regulations.
  9. Maintain a clean and safe facility at all times.
  10. Deliver high-quality products consistently each shift.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
  • ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends.
  • Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, and operations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Understanding of profit and loss statements.
  • Ability to develop employees through coaching and counseling.
  • Focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in recruiting and interviewing staff.
  • Supervisory skills and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Ability to foster a positive work environment.
