Job Summary
The Assistant General Restaurant Manager works under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager. The ARGM is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day activities and operations of the restaurant, assisting in implementing Church's initiatives and programs, achieving or exceeding sales and profitability goals, and handling banking and administrative tasks.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in training all employees.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and prepare weekly schedules.
- Support staff during high volume periods as needed.
- Administer paperwork in a timely manner.
- Analyze profit and loss statements and meet sales targets.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Enforce all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all operational standards and legal regulations.
- Keep the facility clean and safe at all times.
- Deliver high-quality products consistently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience)
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
- ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends.
- Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, and HR procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
- Knowledge of profit and loss statements.
- Ability to develop staff through coaching and counseling.
- Focus on customer satisfaction.
- Experience in recruiting and interviewing.
- Supervisory and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to foster a positive work environment.
