Job Summary:
The Assistant General Restaurant Manager works under the direction of the Restaurant General Manager. The ARGM is responsible for the hands-on day-to-day activities and operations of the restaurant, assisting in the successful implementation of Church's initiatives and programs, helping achieve or exceed all established financial sales and profitability plans, and handling banking and administrative responsibilities.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) in ensuring all employees are trained.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels and prepare weekly schedules.
- Support staff during high volume periods as needed.
- Administer all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Analyze profit and loss statements and work towards meeting sales plans.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Understand, enforce, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all company operations standards and regulations.
- Practice and enforce all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Maintain a clean and safe facility at all times.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality products daily and every shift.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements (Education, Qualifications, Experience):
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
- Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in the restaurant industry.
- ServSafe food safety training is highly recommended.
Position Qualifications/Functional Skills:
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, including flexible shifts and weekends.
- Knowledge of restaurant policies, practices, and HR procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
- Knowledge of profit and loss statements.
- Ability to implement policies and procedures effectively.
- Skilled in coaching, counseling, and developing employees.
- Focus on improving customer satisfaction.
- Experience in recruiting and interviewing potential team members.
