Job Description

The assistant manager assists in ensuring a hospitable atmosphere for guests and aids in providing quality food and service for visitors. Key duties include:

1. Providing daily supervision to food service workers
2. Assisting in food order preparation
3. Supervising food preparation to ensure compliance with Serv-Safe guidelines and Department of Health regulations
4. Inspecting supplies, equipment, and storage areas for temperature and sanitation standards
5. Assisting in menu planning and design
6. Overseeing front-of-house operations by supervising wait staff
7. Assisting in monthly reporting

Applicants should be proficient in Microsoft applications and capable of working a varied schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. A valid driver’s license is required. A criminal background check will be conducted.

Summary

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in all aspects of food service operations at the park, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.

Functions

• Supervise food service staff daily
• Assist in food preparation and oversee quality standards
• Inspect supplies and storage for safety and sanitation
• Assist with menu planning and inventory management
• Maintain records on food costs and waste
• Coordinate with park operational units to meet food service needs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of food safety laws, equipment use, and food service techniques. Ability to train staff, monitor operations, and establish effective working relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience in restaurant management or related field
