Job summary

Soap Creek Resources is seeking an Assistant Project Superintendent for a design-build highway project north of Tampa Bay. Onsite role to back up the Project Superintendent and oversee subs, foremen and crews with FDOT coordination.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction, FDOT contract experience, and are based in the Tampa Bay or Central Florida area or willing to relocate.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years in heavy civil highway construction.
• Experience with FDOT contracts, specs and reporting.
• Current level: Assistant Superintendent, General Foreman or senior Foreman.
• OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Based in Tampa Bay or Central Florida, or willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Run subcontractors, foremen and crews day to day.
• Back up the Project Superintendent on planning and production.
• Keep daily reports, logs and field documentation current.
• Handle quality control in the field.
• Sit in meetings with the owner and FDOT inspectors.
• Coordinate equipment, material and deliveries.
• Own jobsite safety and toolbox talks.
• Track quantities and daily production.
• Travel between work areas on the project as needed.
