Job description

Responsibilities

Assistant Director in the Assessment and Referral department provides direct patient care including completion of assessments, assisting in formulation of treatment recommendations, and guides/monitors staff in day-to-day processes of the department under the guidance of the Director.

Interfaces with referral sources, community service agencies, businesses, employers, and healthcare facilities; ensures compliance for quality patient care and regulatory standards including the Joint Commission, State Health Department, and other applicable requirements.

Provides leadership for the department in the absence of the Director.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Registered Nurse Licensure (RN).
• Working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations.
• Advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
• Minimum of two years psychiatric treatment experience preferred.
• Current CPR or BLS certification (offered at facility).
• Current Handle with Care training and Verbal De-escalation training (offered at facility).
