Job summary

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a 12-month Assistant Professor-in-Residence position assigned as Undergraduate Coordinator, Internship Director, and Chair of Assessment in the Department of Communication Studies. The successful candidate will develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses for traditional and online students.

They will oversee undergraduate curriculum management and assessment, serve as the primary contact for internships, and lead degree

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Communication or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• 1–3 years of experience; credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop and instruct undergraduate and graduate courses for traditional and online degree students.
• Oversee undergraduate curriculum management and assessment; chair of Assessment.
• Serve as Undergraduate Coordinator and principal contact for internships.
• Lead degree program assessments, data collection from students, faculty, and industry partners.
• Contribute to launching workforce readiness microcredentials and redeveloping MA program online.
