Overview

The Assistant Front Office Manager oversees the Front Office operations, ensuring attentive, friendly, efficient, and courteous service, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Sales and Reservations to fulfill group and VIP requests.
  • Assist with guest reception and respond to social media feedback.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and staff.
  • Lead guest service training initiatives.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Assist with guest registration, upselling, and VIP arrivals.
  • Manage guest profiles and reservations, and communicate F&B requests.
  • Train and supervise guest services agents.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues proactively.
  • Promote hotel services and local attractions.
  • Assist with reservations and PBX operations.
  • Participate in emergency procedures and mandatory meetings.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and understand financial data.
  • Support team collaboration and uphold hotel standards.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience; OPERA experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Windows, spreadsheets, and word processing.
  • Ability to work long hours, including overnight shifts.
  • Physical ability to stand for entire shift and lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle problems efficiently.
