This position is located at our CoOccurring Group Home in Midland City, Alabama.

Monday - Friday 8am-4pm with on call after hours work, including evenings, holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Director / Therapist in this position will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to consumers of our CoOccurring Group Home and serve as an Assistant to the CoOccurring Program Director.
• Will assist the Program Director as needed with managing the staff and day to day operation of the program.
• This position will serve as a backup to the Director of CoOccurring in their absence and will rotate on call with Program Director, which will require on call hours, including weekends and/or evening work.
• Conducting individual, group and family therapy
• Maintain a caseload and serve as part of the treatment team for individuals within the case load
• Develop treatment plans and goals for consumers
• Update consumer records and information using an electronic clinical record system
• Provide education on mental illness and treatment to consumers and family as necessary and appropriate
  
  
  

Requirements:

• A Masters degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work or related field
• Completion of a clinical practicum
• Must be willing to obtain substance use certification within 30 months of hire.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Prefer two years post masters experience providing therapy.
• Licensure in the State of Alabama as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check, drug screen and MVR
• If in recovery, must have a minimum of (3) years sobriety
• Some travel within the catchment area or statewide may be required
