We are currently seeking an experienced:

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING

Full Time, Days

Job Description:

1. Assist in the preparation of work schedules for all nursing personnel.
2. Visit patients to ensure maximum care and communicate with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations.
3. Supervise and direct nursing personnel to ensure the best patient care possible.
4. Serve as a liaison for staff nursing and nurse management.
5. Monitor the Quality Assurance Program of the facility.
6. Assign duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and supervise and evaluate their work performance.
7. Supervise the accuracy and maintenance of all nursing records and medical treatments.
8. Act as Infection Control Nurse for the facility.
9. Monitor decubiti weekly and review monthly decubiti reports.
10. Handle disciplinary problems involving nursing personnel.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. Registered Nurse with a current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
2. Two (2) years of experience; preferably at least one (1) year in skilled nursing.
3. Willing to be ‘on call’ on a rotation basis for the facility.
4. Ability to make decisions regarding nursing and unit problems.
5. Ability to supervise nursing staff, ensuring work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
6. Knowledge of personnel, department, and facility procedures, and adherence to local, state, and federal requirements.
7. Ability to work well under pressure, problem-solve, and perform various jobs.
