We are seeking an experienced:

Assistant Director of Nursing

Full Time, Days

Job Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparing work schedules for nursing staff.
2. Visit patients to ensure quality care and communicate with staff and physicians about daily nursing operations.
3. Supervise and direct nursing personnel to ensure optimal patient care.
4. Serve as a liaison between staff nursing and management.
5. Monitor the facility's Quality Assurance Program.
6. Assign duties, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff performance.
7. Maintain accurate nursing records and oversee medical treatments.
8. Act as Infection Control Nurse for the facility.
9. Monitor decubiti weekly and review monthly reports.
10. Handle disciplinary issues involving nursing staff.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license in North Carolina.
• At least two years of nursing experience; preferred at least one year in skilled nursing.
• Willing to be on call on a rotation basis.
• Strong decision-making skills regarding nursing and unit issues.
• Ability to supervise staff and ensure timely completion of work.
• Knowledge of personnel, department, and facility procedures; adherence to regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure, problem solve, and perform various tasks.
