Position Description

The Assistant Director, Enterprise Projects and Analysis reports to the President & CEO and independently leads a portfolio of complex, enterprise-wide projects, programs, and business analyses. The position translates strategic priorities and often ambiguous business needs into structured plans, effective governance, informed decisions, and measurable outcomes. Working with very little oversight, the Assistant Director leads cross-functional teams through influence, coordinates internal and external stakeholders, anticipates risks, and maintains accountability and progress through completion.

The position leads enterprise business systems and process optimization initiatives; supports responsible AI use and governance; develops and manages new programs and services; and delivers analyses, dashboards, recommendations, and executive-ready materials that advance organizational priorities. Success requires strong project and program management, advanced analytical capabilities, expert proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, excellent communication and facilitation skills, sound judgment, and the ability to engage and lead stakeholders at all organizational levels. The position has no direct reports.

  • Lead a portfolio of enterprise-wide initiatives assigned by the President & CEO, translating priorities into clear scope, deliverables, decision points, timelines, resources, and measures of success.
    • Independently structure and advance complex or ambiguous assignments with very little oversight, exercising sound judgment, anticipating needs and risks, and maintaining progress through completion.
    • Develop and maintain project and program plans, budgets, milestones, dependencies, risk and issue logs, decision records, communication plans, and executive reporting.
    • Establish effective project and program governance, including roles, decision rights, escalation paths, meeting cadence, status reporting, and accountability.
    • Lead cross-functional teams at varied organizational levels through influence; create alignment, resolve barriers and conflict, facilitate decisions, and ensure follow-through without direct supervisory authority.
    • Monitor scope, schedule, budget, quality, risks, and outcomes; recommend mitigation, elevate decisions when needed, and provide concise executive updates.
    • Develop polished, executive-ready Word documents and PowerPoint presentations that synthesize complex information for executive, Board, staff, and external audiences.
    • Coordinate vendors and consultants and support change management, stakeholder communication, education, adoption, and implementation effectiveness.
  • Lead enterprise business systems and process optimization initiatives, including assessment of current processes, identification of improvement and automation opportunities, business requirements development, vendor evaluation and selection, implementation planning, and ongoing governance.
    • Manage system accessibility assessment and documentation processes, including Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) activities, by coordinating ownership, inputs, deadlines, review, approvals, and follow-through.
    • Lead Client Relationship Management (CRM) process assessment and solution selection, including current- and future-state analysis, improvement and automation opportunities, enterprise business requirements, RFP development, vendor research and evaluation, due diligence, cost and implementation considerations, and an enterprise-informed recommendation.
    • Lead the development and ongoing governance of enterprise AI policies and responsible-use practices, partnering with IT, Legal/Compliance, HR, and business leaders to evaluate use cases; establish guardrails for approved tools, data privacy, security, accuracy, human oversight, and vendor risk; and support training, adoption, and compliance.
  • Lead the design, development, launch, and day-to-day operation of the 1095 Readiness program, including the business case, operating model including financials, workflows, tools, communications, positioning/promotion, performance measures, and continuous improvement in collaboration with all functional areas.
  • Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative business analyses for the President & CEO related to strategy, growth and retention, markets, new services, partnerships, financial and operational performance, resource allocation, process improvement, and risk.
    • Define analytical questions and methods; obtain and validate data; evaluate alternatives and scenarios; and translate findings into practical, evidence-based recommendations using advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Partner with Project Management & Business Intelligence (PBI) department and enterprise stakeholders to define and document dashboard requirements, align KPIs and data definitions, validate data and calculations, coordinate stakeholder review and user acceptance testing, and translate results into executive insights and recommended actions.
