Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for the South Elgin clinic. You will greet patients, take vitals, assist doctors during exams, and support immunizations and lab tests. The role emphasizes patient-centered care and teamwork in a physician-led environment.

The position requires a Medical Assistant program or related studies and a high school diploma; certification is preferred or will be pursued after hire. Some travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or related courses required.
• Active Medical Assistant certification preferred (AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA) or willing to certify on hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in medical office assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vitals, and health history collection.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor procedures, dressings, and first aid.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Process prescriptions, address pharmacy callbacks, and update charting.
• Perform onsite labs (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming exam rooms and provide excellent customer service.
• Occasional travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Medical Assistant - South Elgin

Full Time

Clinic Hours: Monday -Wednesday 7:45-5:00pm Thursday 11:00am-7:00pm and Fri 8:00am-5:00pm Occasional Travel to St. Charles and Elgin

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
