Job summary

Duly Health and Care in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant for our OBGYN clinic. The role supports physicians during exams, assists with registration, vital signs, and specimen collection, and may involve immunizations and on-site lab testing.

Qualified applicants will have a High school diploma or GED, completion of a Medical Assistant program, CPR certification, and MA certification from AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA. Travel to nearby clinics may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or related health sciences coursework.
• Active Medical Assistant certification through one of AMT/NCCT/NHA/ARMA/AAMA.
• CPR certification required or to be obtained upon hire; phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days.
• Experience as MA/CMA/CNA/EMT or 2 years in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs and health history collection.
• Provide support to physicians during exams, minor office procedures, and dressings.
• Assist with immunizations or injections as needed.
• Assist with prescription requests, pharmacy callbacks, orders, and chart updates.
• Conduct onsite labs including EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose, and urine pregnancy tests.
• Maintain clean, welcoming exam rooms and deliver excellent patient service.
• Occasionally travel to assist other local clinics.

Medical Assistant- OBGYN Part- Time Clinic Hours: 8am-5pm

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
• Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
• Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
• Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
• Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
• Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
• Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required
• Several of our clinical specialties including Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice, require active medical assistant certification through one of the following: American Medical Technologists (AMT) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Healthcareer Association (NHA) American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• CPR certification or willing to become certified upon hire required
• May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire
• Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $21.43-23.63 for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistant the base pay range is $22.97-24.57, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
