Duties and Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the Associate Athletic Director of Health, Wellness and Sport Performance, Head Team Physician, and Head Athletic Trainer, the Assistant Athletic Trainer is responsible for assisting:

1. In the overall care and management of all student-athletes.
2. The primary sport responsibilities are Cross Country, Track, and Softball. Licensure and CEU allotments will be provided.
3. Assigned duties as needed.

Minimum Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• 3+ Years collegiate work experience.

Qualifications

• Collegiate work experience.
• Experience with cross country, track, or overhead sports.

Certificates, Credentials, Licenses

• Board of Certification in Athletic Training.
• Eligible for or possess State of Illinois Athletic Training license.
• CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
