The Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria is recruiting a 1.0 FTE Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation physician to enhance care for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities in Central Illinois. We seek an energetic individual passionate about improving the lives of children with disabilities and their families. Opportunities include leading the development of the Comprehensive Interdisciplinary Cerebral Palsy Program at OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois, which involves collaboration with multiple pediatric specialists and participation in the Cerebral Palsy Research Network. There is also an established Multidisciplinary Spina Bifida Program.
The successful candidate will have opportunities to participate in education at local, regional, national, and international levels, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Support for research is available through the university and hospital.
We are recruiting a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with expertise in care for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Responsibilities include inpatient consultation, outpatient assessment and management, and interdisciplinary care. There are ample opportunities for teaching, research, quality improvement, advocacy, and community involvement.

The Department of Pediatrics is one of the largest at UICOMP, with over 145 faculty members providing comprehensive pediatric services.
