Job summary

Texas Tech Physicians Endocrinology and Diabetes Center of Excellence in Lubbock, Texas, invites applications for a senior academic physician at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. Eligibility is determined by qualifications and experience.

Candidates must hold MD/DO with internal medicine training and endocrinology fellowship, and be eligible for Texas medical licensure. The appointment and salary are commensurate with rank and experience.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with approved residency in Internal Medicine.
• Completion of an ACGME Internal Medicine Residency.
• Endocrinology fellowship completed or in progress.
• Eligibility for Texas medical licensure.
• ECFMG certification for foreign medical graduates.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat hormonal imbalances and disorders.
• Prescribe medications, hormone therapies, and lifestyle plans.
• Provide ongoing care for diabetes, thyroid diseases, osteoporosis, PCOS, etc.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
• Document all services in patient medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient care programs.
• Adhere to institutional policies and contribute to bedside teaching and lectures.

Required Experience

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Endocrinology Fellowship.
• Ability to obtain a Texas Medical License.
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.
