Job Opportunity: Faculty Position in Nutrition at NC State University College of Veterinary Medicine

The Department of Molecular Biomedical Sciences (MBS) at the College of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University invites applications for a tenure/tenure-track or professional track position in Nutrition at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor. The Nutrition Service at NC State is a vital part of our research, teaching, and clinical missions. We are open to recruiting multiple faculty members.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  1. Provide nutritional consults and clinical services as needed.
  2. Contribute to teaching and training of house officers and graduate students.
  3. Engage in research related to animal nutrition and its clinical implications.
  4. Oversee nutrition clinical case management.
  5. Participate in college and departmental committees.

This position aims to synergize with the growth of our emergency and critical care, small animal internal medicine, and gastroenterology groups. The candidate should demonstrate research productivity through external grant funding and peer-reviewed publications, and possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Minimum Education and Experience
  • A DVM or equivalent degree and residency training in Veterinary Nutrition (ACVIM or European equivalent).
  • Ability to work collegially and mentor veterinary students and residents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Diplomate status, PhD, or Board certification in a second specialty.
