You’ll report to the Sr Designer and collaborate with Production, Packaging, and Merchandising to support design and development of innovative home products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
• 1+ years of design experience in home or fashion/apparel.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Detail-driven with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow.

Responsibilities

• Create seasonal mood and trend boards in collaboration with the Sr Designer.
• Develop accurate artwork, repeats, and specs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Prepare design files for sampling and production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product execution matches design intent.
• Support product revisions, costing updates, and presentation materials.
• Stay on top of timelines, trends, and technical innovations in textiles.
• Contribute ideas and assist wherever needed throughout the design process.

Location: Monday - Thursday onsite, Friday remote

Summary: American Exchange Group is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Assistant or Associate Designer to join our growing Home team. This role is perfect for someone with a strong foundation in textile and product design who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a wide range of home categories—including bedding, bath, pet beds, and more. This role will focus on designing for a new, premium licensed brand for our off-price business.

You’ll report to the Sr Designer and work closely with Production, Packaging, and Merchandising to support the design and development of innovative home products.

Salary: The anticipated base salary is $68k - $75k annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, internal equity, and location.
