Job summary

Walmart is seeking an Assortment Insights Manager to support the development of category and department assortments and layouts. The role analyzes data to identify customer behavior and trends, translating insights into actionable merchandising recommendations across stores and digital platforms.

You will lead data analysis, storytelling, and cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvement while upholding Walmart values. This is a full-time on-site position in Bentonville, AR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Marketing, Mathematics, or related field and 2 years’ experience in retail, replenishment, supplier sales, finance, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in retail, replenishment, supplier sales, finance, or related area.
• Preferred: Category Management experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Shape assortment strategy using customer behavior, channel preferences, and category performance.
• Conduct advanced insights work including segmentation, trip missions, clustering, and localization.
• Generate actionable insights by analyzing data, trends, performance drivers and market opportunities.
• Deliver diagnostics and performance narratives to identify root causes and actions.
• Develop next-generation space recommendations to improve customer experience and productivity.
• Measure impact by defining success metrics and refining recommendations over time.
