Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada – Executive Director

ID# 24-2435 Location: Virtual

This is an inaugural appointment for ARUCC. Traditionally, the organization has been managed by a committed group of volunteer Board members. The intent of having a formal leader for ARUCC is to enable the association to respond more effectively to members’ needs and to have a stronger and more active voice with respect to advocacy with various government entities and institutions.

The Executive Director of ARUCC will be accountable to the ARUCC Board for implementing the Strategic Plan and will make further recommendations to the Board on how to best serve the organization’s membership. The position will be responsible for:

  1. Fostering community with members
  2. Providing development and professional development opportunities
  3. Advocating on behalf of the organization
  4. Proposing effective governance, financial, and operational policies and practices

The successful candidate will be a proven strategic thinker with experience working with a not-for-profit organization that serves a national membership. Success in the role will require outstanding relational skills, vision, and the ability to negotiate competing priorities.

This position is accountable to the ARUCC Board Chair. It is a virtual role. The individual needs to live within a reasonable commuting distance to a major airport for ease of travel as required.
